Do you still have this problem, if so which version of openoffice.org-
common do you have installed as it is not the previous version since
calc.desktop is not in it.

cche...@laptop-c2d:~/z/2$ ls usr/lib/openoffice/share/xdg/
extension.desktop printeradmin.desktop
cche...@laptop-c2d:~/z/2$ cd ../1
cche...@laptop-c2d:~/z/1$ ls usr/lib/openoffice/share/xdg/
extension.desktop printeradmin.desktop
