Now I have tested 3 dmraid versions: ubuntu repository, Phillip Susi,
and Giuseppe Iuculano.

When I chroot from Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubuntu 8.10 root partition everything
seems ok, dmraid -ay has normal output (the same behavior with the 3
dmraid versions).

But when I try to boot Ubuntu 8.10 these errors appear:
==================
Unable to enumerate USB device on port 1.
Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems:
     -Boot args.
     -Missing modules.
ALERT! /dev/mapper/isw_baeaijeeda_cinco5 does not exist. Dropping to a shell.
==================

[With Giuseppe Iuculano version an "No block devices found" error
appears 4 times too.]

In the initramfs console I try to execute dmraid -s, dmraid -r and dmraid -ay
and the output is like when I chroot BUT with dmraid -ay the output adds an
ERROR line:
============
# dmraid -ay
