Thanks for reporting this bug in effort to help make Ubuntu better!
You have left out some important information:
1. Please report which version of Ubuntu you are currently having this issue in.
2. Please include a copy of your xorg.conf file attached to this bug report for
review.
3. Please run the command "sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log" and attach the
resulting file "lspci-vvnn.log" to this bug report.
I believe currently even in clone mode the login box will only be
present on the local machine with the changes with the addition of the
screen-resolution-extra package.
