Via console I added a test user using 'sudo useradd -m testuser' and added a password for the account. I then logged in via testuser and checked to see if I could change/edit the users and groups. It worked. Nothing was greyed out.
I am wondering if something is not set right in a hidden folder in Home. Not being an expert in linux I wouldn't know which directory that would be. I have used the same home directory for several distros, so something may have gotten mixed up. Any ideas how to fix this if it is a hidden directory problem?
