** Description changed: After installing the ubuntu fglrx driver, I set up my two monitors with dual-screen. It works perfectly, up until I either turn one of the monitors off by pressing the power button, or by leaving it idle until the screen saver pops up. When either of those 2 actions happens, fglrx reverts back to clone mode. If I reboot the machine, it stays in dual- screen mode just fine. When I look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log when I power off the monitor, nothing pops up. If you need anything else (first time reporting a bug) let me know. I'm on Ubuntu 8.10 + + [lspci] + 00:00.0 RAM memory [0500]: nVidia Corporation MCP55 Memory Controller [10de:0369] (rev a1) + Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
