** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: nvidia-glx

When using KDE 4.x with an NVidia card and the NVidia proprietary
driver, it is critical that the option "backingstore" is deactivated or
at least set to false in file xorg.conf. Otherwise this leads KDE 4 to
crash randomly and to be unusable.

However this option was very useful when using NVidia cards with Compiz,
but nowadays it does not seem useful anymore and due to its side effects
  it should be deactivated.

Upgrade script that patch the xorg.conf in order to disable the X input
devices should also take care of this.

Release : Kubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex
