** Description changed:
Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-177
Using the hardware drivers manager in Kubuntu Intrepid Beta, I installed
nvidia-glx-177. After restarting, kdm failed to start. I had to comment
out the following lines in xorg.conf:
Section "Module"
Load "glx"
Disable "dri2"
EndSection
Section "Device"
Identifier "Configured Video Device"
Driver "nvidia"
Option "NoLogo" "True"
EndSection
Then, /etc/init.d/kdm restart successfully started kdm.
After this, hardware driver manager refuses to switch or uninstall
drivers, complaining about an invalid xorg.conf (which I assume is due
to my changing it).
I am currently uninstalling the driver with APT, and will try the older
(173) driver later.
