i only can test with wired connection and vpn, so i don't know if this problem 
affect also other connections
the summary is self-explaining.
it is not possible to modify the eth0 setting switching to a static ip address 
or inserting customized dns setting in dhcp.
network configuration via gui can be done installing gnome-network-admin but 
the problem could be critic for new users.
