Hi there MridKash,
I don't use apache server, I work from a laptop, but:
r...@thomas-laptop:/home/thomas# cat /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.1.1 thomas-laptop
# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
ff02::3 ip6-allhosts
r...@thomas-laptop:/home/thomas# apt-cache policy apache2
apache2:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 2.2.9-7ubuntu3
Version table:
2.2.9-7ubuntu3 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages
r...@thomas-laptop:/home/thomas#
Maybe it's an ip6 vs. ip4 issue?
I will experiment further from the live-cd, as the problem is fixed as
soon as I run dpkg-reconfigure for the first time and reboot. Possibly
the simultaneous dpkg-reconfigure -au causes the problem?
Anyway,
Thanks a lot MridKash!
