I had my system wiped yesterday as part of scheduled maintenance, and am
going to reinstall Intrepid tonight, and am considering continuing to do
testing for jaunty.
Previously I had been running a system that had been upgraded from
Heron->Intrepid (first time problems showed up)->Jaunty.
I hope that installing Intrepid fresh instead of doing a distribution
upgrade from Heron will get different results from the wireless, and not result
in system freezes.
If I do get system freezes again. I will try different connection
conditions. I am going to see if connecting to the network (using network
manager in gnome) while currently viewing a tty (ctrl alt f1 or 2 or 3 or w/e)
results in the whole system freezing, or only gnome.
If it is ONLY gnome, I will try to get more information that way.
