** Description changed:

  Dell XPSM1530
  Ubuntu 8.10
  2.6.27-9-generic
  BIOS A12

  I preformed a BIOS upgrade successfully using the following commands:
  $ sudo getSystemId
    Libsmbios:    2.0.3
    System ID:    0x022E
    Service Tag: /* service tag is here, removed because it's unnecessary */
    Express Service Code: 41710678381
    Product Name: XPS M1530
    BIOS Version: A12
    Vendor:       Dell Inc.
    Is Dell:      1
  $ sudo modprobe dell_rbu
  $ wget
http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/bios-hdrs/system_bios_ven_0x1028_dev_0x022e_version_a12/bios.hdr
  $ sudo dellBiosUpdate -u -f bios.hdr
  $ sudo restart

- And the BIOS upgraded successfully. When I try to use the touchpad, the
- cursor jumps erratically around the screen and is apparently triggering
- commands/characters/etc. When I plug in a USB mouse, the USB mouse does
- work correctly. Attached is my xorg.conf.
