I've tried installing Intrepid Ibex, using two methods: live-cd boot => first i get the boot screen, stops with blinking cursor and then a prompt (Xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd was not available in prompt) install option: first i get the boot screen then the blinking cursor, then a prompt. (xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd was not available in prompt)
I also have sound problems, but i will focus on my screen problems first. Both methods require me to set acpi =off. Otherwise they will stop immedeately. I'm now downloading the alternate installer. Hopes this will work. This is a big bug, not being able to install at all imho. In hardy i was able to use live-cd with acpi=off settings, and could do a graphic install. Intrepid must be installed in text mode. Or using hardy install and then update. -- [HD3470 + HD3200] Dual cards prevents X from starting / black screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311748 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
