** Summary changed:
- Fails to work on Ubuntu 8.10 amd64
+ New version of joy2key
** Description changed:
- Binary package hint: joy2key
+ joy2key version 1.6.1 from the ubuntu repositories doesn't work
+ properly:
When attempting to run joy2key instead of getting the GUI I get the
following message:
*********************************
Error opening /dev/js0!
Are you sure you have joystick support in your kernel?
*********************************
- The problem is js0 is under /dev/input/ and there seems to be no way to
- point joy2key to that location. Running "joy2key -dev {/dev/input/js0}"
- does nothing but output :
+ Version 1.6.3 of joy2key came out in May 2008 and it looks in the right
+ place for ubuntu 8.10, /dev/input/js0.
- Version: 1.6.1 Binary built on Oct 31 2007 at 09:55:06
+ Please make a binary of joy2key 1.6.3 and include it in the
+ repositories.
- Error opening {/dev/input/js0}!
- Are you sure you have joystick support in your kernel?
