I have the same problem with an Ahtec Sense XHL 90 (it is new and the battery has no problems). It loads fine but when the X should appear the screen remains black, a LED starts to blink (the same which indicates that "caps lock" is enabled, I don't know what it means if it blinks) and I can't get the screen to anything other than black (tried Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, Ctrl+Alt+F1, Ctrl+Alt+Del, etc).
