This has been reverted upstream, just to let you know. They realized it
was a little stupid since we don't get much advantages and break
compatibility. Expecting users to update their firmwares is not an
option, they won't understand the problem (sometimes it even requires
Windows to do so...). Anyway now .ogg is reserved to Ogg Vorbis files,
and .oga is recommended for more complex files, which (software) players
will detect.

Something to keep in min when "fixing" apparently little things... that
can break a whole system.
