Oh sorry :-) Did not really look for the author, just for the report. But unfortunately I have to report this morning that the fix provided in the gnome bug tracker does not work each time. I do not know why, but this morning the applet was not displayed again. I killed it and restarted it. So I hope, the gnome devs already know about it and will fix it.
