Hi! Just installed 8.10 over a proxyed computer and still experiencing the same problem as a above. 1) Package gnome-control-center is 1:2.24.0.1-0ubuntu7.1. ; 2) gconf-editor shows the right information but /etc/environment does not; 3) I've tried a couple of time to set/unset variables and still does not works
