gnome-power-manager isn't bothering me, since I still have the patched
version of GDK which isn't emitting the "monitors-changed" event for
output property notifications.
gdkevents-x11.c, line 2114:
if (screen && notify->subtype != RRNotify_OutputProperty)
_gdk_x11_screen_process_monitors_change (screen);
Just testing blocking our XRRGetScreenSizeRange now
