I am facing the same problem on a 64-bit intrepid m1330. Although suspend often works, when it fails I get the same "buffer i/o error" messages described above. I haven't been able to reproduce the bug when I run the chourave's diagnostic script: the system has always resumed perfectly so far. `dmesg` contains the following lines: [ 1.417862] Magic number: 0:953:403 [ 1.417865] hash matches /build/buildd/linux-2.6.27/drivers/base/power/main.c:390
