Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Evolution Crashes When you exit a draft while it is still in process of saving
which takes more than five seconds.
It also tends to create multiple copies of saved drafts rather than replacing
old ones.
It also tends to freeze up in general when working with drafts.
The time to save a draft e-mail takes much longer than is reasonable (about 7
seconds on a fairly new computer, with free resources).

Evolution 2.24.2
Gnome 2.24.1
Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid
Linux Kernal 2.6.27-9 generic

Previously saving drafts took less than a second.

I was experiencing bug # 27014 and I applied a fix from this website
http://daveshuck.instantspot.com/blog/2008/01/16/Fix-for-Evolution-email-client-error-Summary-and-folder-mismatch-even-after-a-sync
which I had modified for drafts instead of inbox (twice i ran that fix before
this worse problem)

I tried reinstalling evolution and that didn't help, I have tried
creating a new profile as well which didn't help either.
