xpcshell needs to be run with run-mozilla.sh as per:

i.e.
cd /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.0.5
./run-mozilla.sh ./xpcshell
or:
cd /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.0.5
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ./xpcshell
If someone feels like filing an enhancement: it would be nice if
xpcshell was a shell script and the binary was xpcshell-bin, as is the
custom for some other mozilla binaries. Then running it wouldn't depend
on external documentation.
