This sounds like a XOrg issue, so reassigning. Please could you provide
the following information:

1. Please run "sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci.log" and attach the resulting file to
this bug report.
2. After you experience this problem, please attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log
and /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old to this bug report.
3. Can you switch to a console when this freeze occurs (using CTRL+ALT+F1). It
seems like you can, but could you just confirm this? If so, could you please
run "dmesg > dmesg.log" from the console when the freeze occurs, and then
attach the resulting file "dmesg.log" to this bug report.
4. If you can access a console when this freeze occurs, please try running
"top" and seeing if anything is hogging the CPU.

Thanks in advance.
