yes - for me it is. running ubuntu 8.10 i realized that when trying to gt audio in Skype running. whatever i tried, skype wouldn't work. today i simply left the alsa mixer window open and got audio on skype - yeah. but after closing the mixer, it went away. so i got to set the mixer new every time now :( btw, system updated today, upgradet some days ago
