Confirmed, from answers of launchpad too many user ask on:

dpkg --configure -a

this is a message coming from update-manager (we need more info when
there is an error)...

but nothing tell use simply to

Please open a terminal and type 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' give your
user password when requested then press enter.

Or better why update-manager don't show to the user a dialog window with
a button or choice to make this automatically.
