I checked what you told me and actually was that my kernel was still the
2.6.28-4.4. For some reason the linux-generic metapackage dependency is
still pointing to the old one and i was not getting the new kernels
updates since then.
So I manually installed the new kernel and it's working so i will mark
this as fixed.
May I report the problem about the generic metapackage or it will get
eventually fixed?
