the problem disappeared after i disabled the kde desktop effects
(compositiong), because i was sick of the crashed.
i am quite sure the problem was related to the kwin effects. i do not mind if
you close the bug, because i do not want
to experient with the desktop effects. anyway where is the lspci -vvnn
