It would seem this is resolved so I'm closing this report. It's helpful
to the kernel team if bug reports target one specific issue against a
specific set of hardware, so if you'd like to open a new report
regarding the delays you are seeing that would be fine. You may also
want to first give the latest pre-release of Jaunty a test first though
- http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/jaunty/ . However, you can only
test suspend via a LiveCD, not hibernate. Thanks.
