  Issue:
When adding or removing another mouse, the "Enable Tapping" in
gsynaptics becomes checked again. This occurs whenever any mouse, bluetooth or
wired becomes available to the system.

  Solution:
       None.

  Status:
Regression from Ubuntu 7.04. Tapping was successfully disabled in 7.04
using the synaptics entry in xorg.conf and adding SHMConfig True. Gsynaptics
was then able to run and Enable Tapping was able to be unchecked. This setting
was respected with other mice being added/removed from system. This system is a
laptop and mice are added when sitting at a desk. This occurred frequently and
therefore would have been noticed in the 7.04 installation.

  Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install 8.10 clean.
  2. Enable SHMConfig in xorg.conf by adding a touchpad device entry
  Section "InputDevice"
   Identifier "Synaptics Touchpad"
   Driver "synaptics"
   Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
   Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
   Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
   Option "SHMConfig" "true"
   Option "HorizEdgeScroll" "1"
   Option "CorePointer"
  EndSection
  3. Restart X
  4. Login and start gsynaptics
  5. Disable "Enable Tapping"
  6. Tap on touchpad to ensure tapping was disabled -> passed
  7. Attach USB Wired Mighty Mouse
  8. Tap on touchpad to see current behavior -> Tapping is enabled again.

  Attempted Fixes:
  1. Modify xorg.conf to add Option "MaxTapTime" "0", Restart X
Result: Same result, tapping was enabled again after Mighty Mouse was
Attached.
  2. Pair Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse
  Result: Same result.

  Steps Not Attempted:
  1. None
Reason: Could not find any other solution.
