I have:
- ATI Technologies Inc Rage 128 Pro Ultra TF
- LG Flatron L1953S
The default setting make Xorg looks ugly. After some investigation I
found that it is dur to refresh rate set to 60 Mhz. Reseting it to 75
make everything looks much better. (I'm using fvwm-crystal so please do
not advice any gnome settings). I've set the package to xserver-xorg,
but it can be also something wrong with ati drivers.
Why the default setting are so bad?
What should I do to force Xorg starting with given refresh rate?
BTW. I've just run dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg and I'm going to see
what happens (I tried to use Framebuffer as suggested by system).
