I am also experiencing this bug. I have got an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9300 (2.5 GHz). Other hardware on the system include an Intel GMA x3100 integrated graphics card and Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AGN. As for the dmesg, it does not always contain anything related to time keeping after a hangup have occured. Also, if I use clocksource=jiffies the system is rendered unusable (GDM doesn't start properly and it takes an awful lot of time to get into a virtual terminal) but that is probably a separate bug.
