It affects KDE 3.5.10, however, the severity of the problem turned out to be a driver bug. That said, the same draw events that created the flicker are of course still being run, they're just going by a lot faster now. There may still be something that needs fixed, if only to make the menu respose a little more crisp, provided the 3.5 series hasn't been end-of-lifed yet. It just isn't visible unless your video card is really slow. :-)
