Hello Chris,

I have two HD's with more than one partition on it and USB-stick.
Neither could read or write.
Starting OO I was asked for recovery of a document. Recovery didn't
succeed (not necessary for me) and OO started.
Checking them out then EVERY directory was accessable once again. I
can't say how or why. But I remember I had that problem after install of
my double boot (Ubuntu 8.04/ Windows 98 SE).

Kind regards,
Leo

I have had this before, but now it re-occured: I can't save from OO to other
locations (mobile or stationary) than my personal directory. It says: (other)
directory doesn't exist. Copying a file gives the same problem.
