** Description changed: Ubuntu 8.04 works fine on my laptop after some adjusting of the xorg.conf. System Packard Bell with 1024x768 display and VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP Upgrading to 8.10 failed several times and I waited for the CD release in the hope these problems would be solved (I had enough troubles getting my ATI card on the desktop working). The CD works on a nvidia computer, so no faulty CD. N.B. Previous ubuntu versions (6.10, 7.04 and 7.10) were problematic on my laptop also because of video problems and effectively useless. + + [lspci] + 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: VIA Technologies, Inc.
