Hi, Thank you and the rest of the guys who develop and maintain this wonderful flavour of Linux. I never thought the response will be this quick for an open source OS organization. Anyway, I tried to clean the lpr install but to no avail. Terminal won't clean, remove, reinstall package for its missing archive files. Same as with Synaptic and Update Manager. I keep getting the message/ bug so I cannot remove or do anything. I'll try a fresh install of 8.04 or 8.10 for the mean time to test compatibility with my laptop. Thanks again.
