Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you.
I've tried to reproduce this in kubuntu 8.04.1 (KDE 3x) as well as 8.10 (KDE4x) and have not seen it, although I'm not sure I'm reproducing it correctly. Under 8.04.1 I launched kcontrol, went under internet and network, opened network settings. Switched to administrator mode, modified my network card, modified the address to have 255 in the third grouping. It seemed to accept it. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release and let us know if it's still an issue for you, and perhaps add more details on how to reproduce it? It could be that in a recent release, this issue has been corrected. Thanks in advance. -- can't enter ip adress in form xxx.xxx.255.xxx etc. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48565 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
