Same issue here. Looking a bit further I found the following in messages file:
osplugin[26321]: segfault at 0 ip b7bf92c3 sp bfd0acac error 4 in libc-2.8.90.so[b7b82000+158000] Tried reloading the libc library as well as the entire opensync/synce set.
