Hello.  Yes it's still an (irritating) issue for me.  I still can't
submit any reports to ATI's bug tracker via Ubuntu and have to boot to
Windows to do so.  I might add, I did a complete clean reinstall of the
machine followed by applying all updates today, so the test was done on
a mostly still unused/clean install.

I attach a screenshot showing what happens.

The bug report entries on the ATI website I used are as follows (although I 
don't think that really matters, I've had this problem for a while and you can 
probably enter "test" in all the fields...)

On my ATI 9800XT running Linux (Ubuntu 8.10 32 bit/i386),  starting X with the 
proprietary ATI fglrx driver fails with the following message, from cold-boot.  
(Booting first into Windows, then hot-booting into Ubuntu works and avoids this 
error.)

eventually reports error, when trying to submit bug report. The same URL/report
