Public bug reported:

My Acer Aspire 5001WLMi laptop will suspend quite happily (so far as I
can tell), but when I press a key to resume it, the power light comes
back on, and there's a startup flash of the caps lock/num lock LEDs,
then nothing. The screen doesn't turn on, there's no response to any
key presses, including ctrl alt backspace, ctrl alt f1, etc. Pressing
caps lock doesn't turn the caps lock LED on. So basically completely
locked up. I'm pretty sure nothing gets written to the logs. When I
check, I can see the suspend log messages, then next is just the bootup
messages from when I have to do a hard reset of my machine. Hibernate
seems to work just fine.

I've run the pm_trace mentioned at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend, and after running it
four times, I don't think I have anything useful from it. But I've
attached the dmesg outputs from all 4 runs.

Suspend worked on this machine with Hardy, and I fresh installed
Intrepid on it.
