Just a hint: This seems to be the same bug as in the mandriva distribution: Bug.No: 26306, as seen in: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.mandrake.cooker.devel/227371 Steps to reproduce: ------------------------------ Just create a file named "memo.txt": Adding the file to a ZIP-Archive results in an error message: "zip warning: missing end signature-probably not a zip file (did you remember to use binary mode when you transferred it?) zip error: Zip file structure invalid (memo.txt)" The error doesn't depend on performing this action via the Konqueror context menu or via ARK itself. This seems to be the same error if you confuse the filename of the archive and the filename(s) of the file(s) to compress with "zip" (Info-Zip 2.31) in a console session.
