Binary package hint: bash-completion
I type "cd $HOM" into bash. I hit tab for completion. Now I see "cd
\$HOME". I expected to see "cd $HOME", sans backslash.
Observed on Ubuntu 8.10 with bash-completion 20060301-4ubuntu1 as well
as Ubuntu 8.04.1 with bash-completion 20060301-3ubuntu3.
I also verified that, after "bash --norc", I get "cd $HOME" instead of
"cd \$HOME" after tab completion.
