FYI... I was having problems using UNetbootin with an iso for Linpus Linux Lite on a 1GB JetLinx flash drive. So I decided to follow the same reformatting and partitioning that fixed my problem here...and it worked! There is something about that procedure described on the ubuntuliving blog that is crucial.
