Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kvpm

One can install kvpm via the built-in applications catalogue. This
suggests that this is a fully integrated easy-to-use program.

However, when you try to start it, it denies working due to insuffient
privileges. You can only start it via terminal ('sudo kvpm').

GNOME programs do it this way: When privileges are needed, a window
shows up and you can enter your password and proceed. IMHO KDE programs
should behave the same if they ship with Ubuntu. Everything else is
inconsistent and irritates the user. Are there any issues that would
prevent you from making Ubuntu KDE programs behave like GNOME programs
in this aspect?

** Affects: kvpm (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
