nm-applet panel icon is gone, but:
$ ps -ef|grep Netw
root      5285     1  0 11:41 ?        00:00:00 /usr/sbin/NetworkManager
root      5299     1  0 11:41 ?        00:00:00 /usr/sbin/nm-system-settings
--config /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf
root      5761  5285  0 11:41 ?        00:00:00 /sbin/dhclient -d -sf
/usr/lib/NetworkManager/nm-dhcp-client.action -pf /var/run/dhclient-wlan0.pid
-lf /var/run/dhclient-wlan0.lease -cf /var/run/nm-dhclient-wlan0.conf wlan0

after suspend/resume, the wireless connection no longer works (it did
before!): have to reboot.

how do I get it back? I loved that signal strength icon:-(
