I'm confirming I've booted into live-usb to copy /home partition to another drive, but found almost all of partitions in the system (desktop with four drives and 8 partitions) mounted incorrectly, some of them into same named mountpoint, which didn't exist for a while. The only way this mountpoint could emerge - is from some history, so I found A LOT of inexistent mountpoints in /etc/mtab. Removing /etc/mtab then logging out and in cleared the mess.
