Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evince
When viewing an old .ps file containing images with evince, a couple of pages
containing full-page images say "Loading..." and won't render. I get this in
the terminal:
rangecheck -15
rangecheck -15
** (evince:6864): WARNING **: Error rendering thumbnail
rangecheck -15
rangecheck -15
** (evince:6864): WARNING **: Error rendering thumbnail
I'm using 8.10 amd64, evince 2.24.1-0ubuntu1, with fully updated
packages for intrepid.
This seems similar to bug #100118, but there are 2 important
differences: 1) This is clearly not fixed in 8.10, as that bug is, and
2) the given .eps file attached to that bug renders fine for me, so I
believe this is a different problem.
Unfortunately, I can't share the particular .ps file troubling me
(confidential), and I can't find another one with the same behavior.
Sorry about that. I'm happy to do anything else I can to help identify
the problem, including testing a new version of evince or any library it
uses to check if the problem has been fixed.
Thank you!
