Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since
this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work,
I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.
I confirm this crash in Jaunty 9.04. It happened to me after a group of
updates on 01-26-2009, I think. Also, just before the crash (in apport),
the mixer disappeared from the panel. Since I had firefox running
already, I got a message that the crash could not be reported due to
firefox unable to start.
