I look at it more from the perspective of a nervous father who's already had a few problems with his son experimenting while I was away from the comp. My son somehow cut and pasted all of my wife's school papers into odd system folders... he somehow found corners of the file system that didn't require root access, or I walked away during a root session. I don't know which.
The point is that locking the screen automatically after a few minutes is crucial in my household, irregardless of what I was doing at the moment I walked away from the keyboard. That would include perusing the RSS titles.
