I have this same issue with XUbuntu 8.10 Intrepid. I've got two WD 320Gb drives which are physically identical but report slightly different hardware revision numbers. Both are formatted ext3.
The "blue" drive works as expected but the "red" drive exhibits this bug. dmesg reports slightly different hardware and SCSI mode sense. I have the following settings checked in Thunar 'Removable Drives and Media' configuration: - Mount removable drives when hot plugged. - Auto-run programs on new drives and media Version details: uname -a Linux spire 2.6.27-11-generic #1 SMP Thu Jan 22 17:22:40 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux cat /proc/version_signature Ubuntu 2.6.27-11.25-generic thunar 0.9.0-10-ubuntu1 thunar-volman 0.2.0-2-ubuntu2 -- [Hardy] Ejecting usb hard disk gives error and remounts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/253468 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
