I can see from your bug report that you are using compiz version
1:0.7.7+git20080807-0ubuntu10 with Ubuntu 8.10 . However the latest version of
compiz for Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex is 1:0.7.8-0ubuntu4.1 . Have you already tried
to update compiz? Does you bug report happens with the new version?
I've tried to reproduce this issue with Ubuntu 8.10 and compiz
1:0.7.8-0ubuntu4.1 but I was unable.
