I tried this now: I opened an SSH connection from my destop computer to my laptop via WLAN. Then I started to change the brightness of the display. After several display brightness changes the laptop crashed and freezed. The open SSH connection freezed too, new connection could not be established. It seems that the whole Kernel hangs.
Hint: Sometimes you need only one brightess change on other days I need ten or more of them to hang the system.
